How to Play Caribbean Stud Poker
There are many exciting games that you can play in online casinos if you ever feel a bit more adventurous than your typical Roulette and Blackjack. One of them is Caribbean Stud Poker. Despite the slightly confusing and misleading name, it’s a pretty simple game with fun rules that can give you joy and bring nice winnings to any casino lover.
What is Caribbean Stud Poker
The name comes from the fact that the game originated from the casino friendly parts of the Caribbean islands later spreading around the US and the rest of the world. It’s important to understand from the beginning that this is, in reality, a casino game and not a Poker game as such, since you are playing against the house Dealer instead of the other players. In a nutshell, it makes it a bit easier especially for beginners since you don’t have to figure out the strategy of your every opponent. The game can be played starting from small groups of 3-5 people and can be a lot of fun.
Rules of Caribbean Stud Poker
The players sit in front of the dealer, who also takes part in the game. The game is played with a standard deck of 52 cards. Our goal is not to defeat other players and the dealer. Each player has to make an obligatory Ante wager and also an optional Progressive Jackpot side bet. Every player including the dealer receives 5 cards and the dealer turns one card face up.
Depending on the hand that the players have, they make a decision whether to fold or bet with 2 times the Ante. If you fold, your Ante is lost. After that, the dealer shows all his cards and in order to qualify he needs to have Ace King as a minimum. If the dealer qualifies and beats the player Ante and bet will be lost. In case the dealer qualifies and loses to a player, the payout table below comes into the picture. If the dealer doesn’t manage to qualify, then all the players who stayed in the game win their Ante back
