We love this slot’s callbacks to the original while remaining a distinctive slot with fun gameplay. We would like to see a higher RTP, but other than that, there’s not much wrong with Starburst Galaxy!

Classic slot fans, rejoice: familiar coloured gems, 7s, and BAR symbols cover the reels, but this slot is an upgraded version of the original. For starters, the reels have expanded from the traditional 5×3 grid to a 5×5 grid. The gems glitter on the reels like stars in the sky, with constellations and planets in the background. The BAR symbol is the highest paying symbol, paying out up to 250x your wager. The other symbols payout between 0.25x and 50x your bet, which isn’t bad at all.

While this slot doesn’t have the respin feature the original game has, we found other exciting bonuses. UK players don’t need to be an astronaut to see the stars up close; they can simply spin the reels to see these gem-like symbols.

Feature generator and galaxy star feature and meter

This title has the avalanche feature, which means when a win lands the winning symbols explode, and new symbols drop down. Further, each winning sequence that explodes will leave a wild in its place.

This slot also uses avalanche reels to offer a feature generator, where each consecutive win adds to the feature meter. Once it’s full, it can offer features such as Destroy, Random Wilds, Expanding Wilds, Line Transform, and Upgrade. 

If all five features activate, then it’ll transform into the Galaxy Star feature, where a 3×3 Wild appears on the expanded 7×7 reels. Once this has awarded wins, it splits into four to eight wilds, with wins counting towards the Galaxy meter. 

Three scatter symbols will award the Mega Star feature, where it’ll randomly place a 2×2 wild on the reels. Once done, it’ll split into two to five regular wilds. The scatter symbols can have 2x to 25x multipliers attached, which adds to the multiplier meter.
