Betano Licensing, Safety and Trustworthiness

My first stop was to check the gambling license. At the footer of the Betano site, I found the site’s operator, BV Gaming Limited and the license details. I verified this using the UKGC’s registry and can confirm the account number is 39576. 

The UKGC site includes regulatory action against BV Gaming Limited in February 2022. This resulted in a fine and was related to non-compliance in fairness, money laundering and social responsibility processes.

At the time of my Betano review, the live chat wasn’t available, so I’m unable to give you any feedback. In my experience during testing the response times for emails were timely and informative. Betano does state that an SMS service is offered, but this was also unavailable during my review.

TrustPilot UK is where I found the majority of reviews from players. The overall score during my research was 4, with 78% of these being 5-star reviews and 17% being 1-star reviews. 

Positive remarks from players include the quality of support and speed of problem resolution. The negative stuff relates to players claiming that the site is a ‘scam’ and that games don’t pay out. 

Betano claims to have its games tested by eCOGRA who are an external independent testing service. However please be sure to verify the current licensing details and certifications for further assurance on independent fair testing.

Betano: My Final Thoughts

Betano may be primarily sports betting focused, but it hasn’t overlooked its casino products. Exclusive games, quality slots and tables, as well as exclusive titles? Yes please. However, the max win cap and lack of regular promos may be off-putting to some of you. The mobile accessibility was impressive to me, and the £5 minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts are decent. Just keep in mind that there are few safer gambling account limits, so I advise you to set your own tracking tools.
