If you’re into fairytale slots and are checking out Dwarfs Gone Wild for the first time, we give you one word of warning: in this Quickspin game, the seven dwarves and their queen Snow White are only after one thing: underground riches!
However, if you’d like to join in the hunt for a chance to collect your own share of the treasure, keep reading our review of Dwarves Gone Wild slot below; it seems that this game has been a success since its release last month, given its interesting take on the Snow White theme and its thrilling free spins bonus!
Dwarfs Gone Wild slot features
Dwarfs Gone Wild is a 20 payline slot set inside a mine shaft. Symbols include the traditional A, K and Q playing card symbols, and seven money-minded dwarfs – the banker, the blacksmith, bomber, huntsman, racer, strongman and the wizard, all with their special powers which will prove useful during the free spins feature.
There’s also a Snow White Symbol and a wild symbol in the form of the Dwarfs Gone Wild logo, which are the most rewarding symbols on the reels and both pay out the same amount: 2, 15 or 60 x your stake for 3, 4 or 5 symbols respectively.
The wild symbol replaces all symbols except the scatter to form winning combos.
During the Dwarfs Gone Wild base game, you can trigger the Magic Mirror feature when the mirror symbol lands anywhere on the third reel.
When this happens, 300 additional Snow White symbols are added and players are given two respins, giving you a chance to fill up all the reels with a high-value symbol.
During the base game, you will also notice a Golden Minecart Bonus meter. When you first start to play Dwarfs Gone wild, this meter will already be powered up by 75%.
Every time you land on a winning combination made up of dwarf symbols, the meter will power up and an extra golden minecart will be awarded once it fills up completely.
You can unlock 7 golden minecarts in total, which will come in very handy during the Dwarfs Gone Wild free spins feature!
Dwarfs Gone Wild slot free spins feature
If you manage to trigger the Dwarfs Gone Wild free spins bonus, this is where the excitement really picks up!
Called the Golden Minecart Free Spins bonus, this feature is activated when you land on the diamond bonus scatter on the 3 middle reels; you are then awarded 7 free spins and taken deep down into the mine!
Depending on the Dwarfs features unlocked during the base game, you will be followed down the shaft by up to 7 dwarfs.
The dwarfs features are described below:
Rolling reels – if you get Strongman, a wild symbol will be added randomly to the 3rd, 4th and 5th reels, and with each respin, this wild will move one position to the left.
Spreading Wilds feature – accompanied by Bomber, 1 wild will be added to the reels, which will explode to produce between 2 and 4 additional wilds in adjacent positions.
Throwback Wilds feature – the dwarf Racer will generate between 2 and 5 wilds randomly anywhere on the reels.
Full Reel Wilds feature – accompanied by Blacksmith, you’ll get up to 2 fully wild reels.
Free Wild feature – Huntsman the dwarf will add 1 wild in the best position to create a great winning combo!
Extra Free spins feature – accompanied by the Wizard, you’ll get 3, 4 or 5 additional free spins during the round
The Win Multiplier feature – with the help of the Banker, a multiplier of 2x, 3x or 5x will be applied to 1 or more winning free spins.

Dwarves Gone Wild graphics and sound
Quickspin have once again done a good job of rendering a fairytale theme in a different manner thanks to fantastic animations which will prompt us to think differently of all seven dwarfs!
If you notice each dwarf’s expression, you will see that they all have different characters to reflect their different abilities, yet they’re all after one thing – riches!
The rest of the graphics and visual effects are also superb, and the gameplay is accompanied by gentle folk music that conveys a magical atmosphere.
Dwarfs Gone Wild slot – our conclusion
Dwarfs Gone Wild can be an entertaining slot due to its interesting animations and, most importantly, due to the numerous extra features that may come into play.
However, we must admit that in this slot it’s really all down to whether or not you manage to trigger the free spins feature, and we found that it took quite a number of spins to do so, in our case.
The power meter also takes rather long to fill up from the second time onwards (given that the first time it’s already at 75%), so keep in mind that you have to keep spinning for a while before all 7 dwarfs will join you for the bonus round.
Nevertheless, it’s worth trying it out since the payouts can be huge if you get lucky, and the atmosphere is perfect to help you unwind down after a busy day!
