Facts about Booming Games
Booming Games is a Malta-based slot studio that has been releasing online slots since 2014, and it holds a UK Gambling Commission licence – so its games can legally appear in the lobbies of UKGC-licensed casinos. Its catalogue leans heavily on Hold and Win titles, with Buffalo Hold and Win and its spin-offs the releases most UK players will recognise, alongside bonanza-style and classic fruit games. Below we cover what the studio does well, where it falls short, and what to check before you play at a Booming Games casino.

How we reviewed Booming Games: we checked the studio’s licences on the Gambling Commission public register and the Malta Gaming Authority register, compared game data (RTP, volatility, maximum win) across published sources, and played a handful of Booming Games titles at UKGC-licensed casinos on chrome and mobile android device. Last reviewed: October 2026.

How to choose the best Booming Games casinos?
Booming Games makes the slots, but the casino controls everything around them – your bonus terms, how quickly you’re paid and which titles you can actually load. These are the five checks we run before recommending a Booming Games casino.
Licensed & ensures safety
Two licences matter here. Booming Games (Malta) Limited holds Gambling Software and Game Host (Casino) remote licences from the Gambling Commission, active since 18 January 2021. The casino you play at needs its own UKGC licence too – look for the account number in the site footer and check it against the Commission’s public register. If a site offers Booming Games slots without a UK licence, it isn’t permitted to take bets from UK players, and you lose access to UK protections such as GAMSTOP self-exclusion and the Commission’s complaints framework.
Offers a wide range of Booming Games titles
Booming’s full catalogue runs to 300+ games, but UK lobbies carry a fraction of it. Mecca Bingo’s provider page, for example, highlights around 15 Booming titles, including three versions of Buffalo Hold and Win. Boyle Casino includes Booming Buffalo Hold and Win Extreme 25,000 slots with a x25000 top win and 92% RTP. Use the casino’s provider filter to check before you deposit – if a casino has no filter at all, that tells you something about the lobby UX.
Favourable terms & conditions
Since 19 January 2026, UK casinos can’t set wagering requirements above 10x the bonus amount, and they can no longer offer promotions that require you to combine different gambling products (for example, betting and slots) to qualify. That makes bonus terms simpler than they used to be, but it’s still worth reading the game contribution table – some casinos exclude specific slots from bonus play. Remember the UK stake limits on online slots, too: £5 per spin if you’re 25 or over and £2 if you’re 18–24.
Offers great bonus offers & promotions
Booming Games supplies operators with a promotional tools suite, so you’ll sometimes see casino-run tournaments or bonus spins tied to a new Booming release. Check whether any spins carry wagering before treating them as free – the offer terms will say. At the time of writing I didn’t come across any specific Booming Games offers at any of our featured £10 deposit casinos.
Variety of payment methods
Look for debit cards plus at least one e-wallet such as PayPal, and check the withdrawal timescales in the casino’s terms rather than the marketing copy. Credit cards can’t be used for gambling at UK-licensed casinos. Our individual casino reviews record the withdrawal times we observed during testing.
| Booming Games says it releases four new titles a month and runs its games on its own in-house remote game server, rather than relying on a third-party platform. |
What makes Booming Games’ games stand out?
Booming’s identity is built on Hold and Win: land enough bonus symbols to trigger a respin round, where symbols lock in place and the counter resets each time a new one lands. Around that core it runs recurring series – Mr. Oinkster, Tasty Rush, Gates of Hercules, Boomstick Blast and Fortune Surge among them.
The flip side is repetition. Buffalo Hold and Win alone has an original, an Extreme and an Extreme 10,000 version in UK lobbies, and several series share near-identical bonus structures. If you like a format, that’s convenient; if you want something new every session, studios such as Nolimit City or Hacksaw Gaming push mechanics further.
Innovative Features
Beyond Hold and Win, the catalogue uses cascading reels, expanding wilds and standard free spins rounds. Blockchain Megaways uses the Megaways mechanic, which Big Time Gaming licenses to other studios, and lists a maximum win of 40,320x your stake. Booming’s innovation is more in volume and variation than in brand-new mechanics.
Graphics
Animation is smooth, at least in the newer titles. You’ll get some nice little details like rumbling of the treasure chests in Boost+ feature games such as Blazing Bullets Hold & Win.
Music
As far as music tracks go, it really depends on your personal preferences. After a few minutes of Tasty Rush Sweet Spots extremely saccharine bubblegum pop I had to switch to a new game. Games such as Fortune Surge kept an inoffensive guitar riff background track with the main focus on the reel spins and wins sound effects.
Gameplay
As with all slots offered to UK players, Booming’s UK versions follow the Gambling Commission’s game design rules, so you won’t find autoplay, turbo or slam-stop features, and each spin takes at least 2.5 seconds. Volatility spans the range, from low-volatility classics like Gold Gold Gold to high-volatility titles such as Cash Pig.
Booming Games’ games optimised for mobile?
Yes. Booming describes its platform as mobile-first, and its slots are built in HTML5, so they run in your phone’s browser or inside a casino’s own app – there’s no standalone Booming Games app to download. I tested Mr.Oinkster’s Key to Riches slot on mobile. Graphics were bright and clear and the music had a jaunty quality. Paytable could be improved though, for example the wild coin collect explanation was unclear due to the inclusion of graphics mid text messing up the text alignment.
Perks & drawbacks of playing at the best Booming Games casinos
Here’s how Booming Games stacks up once you look past the headline titles.
| UKGC-licensed studio with eCOGRA certification | No live casino or table games |
| Large catalogue with frequent new releases | Many sequels and near-identical variants |
| Strong Hold and Win range across volatility levels | Some popular titles sit around 95% RTP, below the 96% benchmark many players use |
Who is Booming Games?
Booming Games was founded in 2014 and operates as Booming Games (Malta) Limited from Birkirkara, Malta. It reports more than 200 staff across 45 nationalities and runs its games on its own remote game server. Alongside its UK and Maltese licences, it is licensed or certified in markets including Sweden, Denmark, Ontario, Romania, Greece and Belgium.
Are Booming Games games legal and safe?
Yes, when you play at a UKGC-licensed casino. Booming’s UK licences mean its games must meet the Commission’s technical standards, and the casino has to give you deposit limits, time-outs and GAMSTOP self-exclusion. UK rules also require casinos to verify your age before you can play even the demo versions.
Slots are entertainment with a built-in cost, not a way to make money. Set a deposit limit before you start, and if gambling stops feeling fun, free confidential support is available from GamCare (0808 8020 133) and BeGambleAware, and you can block access to all UK-licensed gambling sites through GAMSTOP.
Fairness of Booming Games’ games
Booming’s games are certified by eCOGRA and Quinel, independent testing labs that check the random number generator and confirm each game pays out in line with its stated RTP. RTP is a long-run average, not a session prediction: across £100 of total stakes, a 95.11% RTP game like Cash Pig is expected to return about £95.11 over time, while a 96.60% game like TNT Bonanza returns about £96.60. In a single session, results swing far more widely than that – especially on high-volatility slots. Some games are released in more than one RTP version, so always check the figure in the game’s information screen at your casino.
What are Booming Games famous for?
Buffalo Hold and Win. It’s the Booming title UK players search for most, and it has spawned several follow-ups. The studio is also known for its fast release schedule and long-running themed series.
| Booming Games lists BeGambleAware among its responsible gambling partners, and like every slot offered to UK players, its UK games must follow the Gambling Commission’s 2021 game design rules. |
Top 5 favourite games by Booming Games
Each of the five titles below (or a version of it) was listed at a UK-licensed casino when we checked in October 2026. RTP, volatility and maximum win figures are the standard versions – confirm them in-game before you play.
1. Buffalo Hold and Win Extreme
RTP: 95.50% | Volatility: Medium | Max win: 4,000x | Released: 2024. The headline version of Booming’s best-known series, built around the Hold and Win respin bonus.
2. TNT Bonanza
RTP: 96.60% | Volatility: Medium-high | Max win: 6,500x | Released: 2023. The highest RTP in this list.
3. Cash Pig
RTP: 95.11% | Volatility: High | Max win: 8,000x | Released: 2021. The biggest maximum win here, paired with the lowest RTP – a trade-off worth knowing before you play.
4. Gold Gold Gold
RTP: 96.00% | Volatility: Low | Max win: 2,000x | Released: 2023. A lower-volatility option for players who prefer more frequent, smaller wins. A 5000 version is also available in UK lobbies.
5. The Wild Wings of Phoenix
RTP: 95.40% | Volatility: High | Max win: 500x | Released: 2022. High volatility with a modest 500x ceiling – an unusual combination, so check the paytable to see whether it suits you. A Deluxe version is also available.
Our verdict on Booming Games
Booming Games is a reliable, fully licensed studio for UK players who enjoy Hold and Win slots and want plenty of variations to choose from. It’s not suited to players looking for live casino, table games or genuinely new mechanics, and its RTPs are worth checking title by title.
