The wild then remains sticky on the reels while all other symbols will respin. If there are no new wilds during the respin, the wild falls off and the respins come to an end.

The River of Gold Free Spins are triggered when you land 3 chests during the base game – during these spins, chests will stick and move 1 space down with every spin.
