LuckyMate Review
Before we dive in, let me give you some info about how we rate casinos. We base our UK reviews on 6 pillars of testing, which I’ve included below. This allows us to cover all key areas and present you with the straight-up facts.
- I reviewed LuckyMate’s licensing, safety and trustworthiness
- I analysed the bonus terms and promos at LuckyMate
- I checked LuckyMates’ payment methods for smoothness and reliability
- I analysed LuckyMate’s game selection and site usability
- I tested the LuckyMate customer support
- I judged the popularity of LuckyMate and checked real UK player testimonials
LuckyMate Licensing, Safety and Trustworthiness
First things first, who operates this casino? Well, that would be Anakatech Interactive Limited, a company registered in Malta (61918), which launched in 2008. At the time of my review, LuckyMate had a UKGC license with account number 48789.
| ⚠️AGE RISK WARNING: |
| 18+ only. Gambling legislation in the UK covers all types of gambling, including online betting. The law is determined by the Gambling Act of 2005, which makes gambling illegal for anyone under 18. The UKGC enforces this and ensures that all its licensed casinos verify the ages of players at the point of sign-up. They must refuse services to minors. If you are under 18, please don’t gamble. |
Responsible Gambling at LuckyMate
LuckyMate offers safer gambling tools which include time-outs and self-exclusion. I did find that additional player controlled limits for accounts, such as wager and loss restrictions weren’t available at the time of my review.
| ⚠️ ADDICTION RISK WARNING ⚠️ |
| We urge you to always be aware of how gambling makes you feel. Whilst playing can be fun it can also lead to harm. It’s important to keep a lookout for warning signs and take action. These can be gambling to win money to pay off debts and bills, chasing losses and/or hiding your gambling from others. If you ever feel like you are struggling, please speak up and reach for support. There are many UK based organisations that offer free advice. These include GamCare 0808 8020 133 (24/7) or The Gordon Moody Association. |
My Rating of LuckyMate’s Trust & Safety
Shall we see how LuckyMate fared during the first step of testing?
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
| Licences | 5/5 | LuckyMate has a clean UKGC license. |
| Brand Credibility & Ownership Trust | 2/5 | The site is operated by a recognised brand which is registered in Malta and licensed by the UKGC. At the time of this review, LuckyMate had been operating for less than 12 months. Which may impact its reputation as a casino and player trust. |
| Security Measures & Data Protection | 3/5 | I found a couple of mentions of security on the site. Clear information and details regarding SSL encryption and data protection need to be available to assure players of safety. LuckyMate states that payments are processed with PCi certification. |
| Responsible Gambling Tools | 7/10 | I’ve deducted points due to the minimal choice of account limits. |
| LuckyMate is still fresh though it needs to be upfront about security and increase the number of RG limits! |
| Score: 17/25. |
LuckyMate’s Bonus Terms and Promos
(Offers are valid for UK players 18+ only. Full terms and conditions apply to all bonuses and promos, please review these on LuckyMate before claiming)
It’s time to pop the lid and reveal those casino bonuses. Are they worth claiming and how realistic are the wagering requirements?
| ⚠️BONUS RISK WARNING |
| This welcome offer can be claimed with a deposit of £10 using the code MATE50. Deposits must be made using either Visa, Mastercard, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You will need to wager your £10 deposit on selected slots within 7 days of claiming the offer, to release the free spins. Free spins are worth £0.10 each and are valid for 24 hours. Free spins are available without any wagering requirements. Please bear in mind that gambling involves risk and you may lose money whilst playing. Full terms apply to this offer and we advise you to review these on the LuckyMate site before claiming. |
LuckyMate Welcome Bonus
There’s a straightforward welcome bonus for new UK players, which you can claim with a £10 deposit:
- Bet £10 and get 50 wager-free spins
The free spins were available on Big Bass Splash at the time of this LuckyMate review. They had a value of 10p each and winnings were paid in cash without any restrictions on the maximum win!
LuckyMate’s Free Spins for Existing Players
LuckyMate has a couple of weekly free spins deals for existing players.
- Bet £200 on selected slots and get 20 free spins with a max of 200 available. Be sure to use the code BIGBASS when claiming.
- Make a minimum deposit of £20, then wager £50 eligible on slots to scoop 20 free spins for the game of the week. Use the code HOTPICK when you make your deposit.
Free spins are wager free in both of these deals!
LuckyMate Promotions and Tournaments
Regular players can enjoy seasonal deals which pop up throughout the year. These could include random scratchcards and free spins ‘drops’, with big cash prizes attached.
LuckyMate also offers the network software developer tourneys from the likes of Play’n Go and Pragmatic Play. These serve up the chance to win cash from mahoosive prize pools.
My Rating of LuckyMate’s Bonus Terms & Promotions
Things are looking pretty slick so far in this section of my LuckyMate review, but is there anything dodgy lurking in the smallprint?
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
| Bonus Terms and Conditions | 5/5 | I found these to be fair towards players. There are no max win restrictions and terms are written clearly, making them easy to understand. |
| Wagering Requirements | 5/5 | There are no wagering requirements at LuckyMate. |
| Ongoing Promotions | 3/5 | I like that you can claim stuff without having to make big deposits, and free spins are wager-free. This is fair and keeps things simple. But more promos are needed for regular players. It would be good to see a loyalty program for example, or some bonus reloads. |
| LuckyMate offers wager-free simple promos with fair terms! |
| Score: 13/15. |
LuckyMate Payment Methods & Account Fairness
Make your payments from £10 with a decent array of trusted banking options.
| Payment Method | Minimum Deposit | Maximum Withdrawal Limit | Average Deposit Time | Average Withdrawal Pending Time |
| Visa & Mastercard debit | £10 | None | Instant | Instant |
| Skrill & Neteller | £10 | None | Instant | Instant |
| PaySafeCard | £10 | N/A | Instant | N/A |
| Apple Pay & Google Pay | £10 | None | Instant | Instant |
| Trustly | £10 | None | Instant | Instant |
| Bank transfer | N/A | None | N/A | Instant |
| ⚠️FINANCIAL RISK WARNING |
| Whilst gambling can be fun it’s important to remember that it poses a risk to your finances, and is not a way to make money. Casinos operate using a house edge which gives them a mathematical advantage, and most players lose money over time. We advise you to set limits before you gamble – and stick to them. Determine a budget and only play with the money you can afford to lose. |
How To Withdraw From LuckyMate
- Click on your profile icon
- Select ‘Withdrawal’
- Choose the method and enter the amount you’d like to take out
- Press ‘Withdraw’
Other Important Information for Your Withdrawals
I was guided through the process step-by-step during testing for this LuckyMate review. There is a short guide in the FAQs if you need some help though. You can withdraw from a minimum of £10 and there are no maximum limits.
Documents and Information You’ll Need To Share With LuckyMate
LuckyMate will request your verification documents when you make your first withdrawal. So I recommend that you prepare these beforehand. They can be uploaded to your profile, and you’ll need to send:
- Proof of ID: Passport, birth certificate, driving license or ID card.
- Proof of payment method: Image of your debit card, eWallet login, etc.
- Proof of address: A utility bill or bank statement dated within the last 3 months.
My Rating of LuckyMate’s Payment & Account Fairness
Let’s review the finer details of the payment journey and find out if you can expect fair treatment.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
| Minimum Withdrawal and Deposit | 3/5 | It’s good to see withdrawals accepted from £10 as many UK casinos set this at £20+. Deposits can be made from £10 too. These figures could be lower though. |
| Accepted Payment Methods | 4/5 | I almost gave full marks, but PayPal wasn’t available at the time of my review. |
| Account Rules and Player Rights | 5/5 | LuckyMate is fair with players and there are no account inactivity or payment fees. I found nothing red flag worthy in the terms. |
| Withdrawal Speed and Processing Times | 5/5 | These are typically instant. |
| Fair and transparent rules with easy-to-follow processes and quick cashouts! |
| Score: 17/20. |
LuckyMate’s Game Library & Usability
LuckyMate has a portfolio featuring 2,000+ casino games with slots, Slingo, scratchcards, RNG tables and loads more.
| ⚠️CASINO GAMES WARNING |
| If you reside in the UK then we advise you to only play at casinos which are licensed by the UKGC. This ensures optimal safety for you but also that the games available will be licensed and tested for fairness. It’s important that you always check the rules, RTP and wagering contribution of any games that you play. Remember that the casino has a house edge and you may lose your money whilst playing. Please always gamble responsibly. |
Did I Find Any Exclusive Games?
Nope, but there are plenty of big brand slots such as Megaways and chapters from the Big Bass and Rich Wilde sagas.
LuckyMate Slots Collection
The variety of slots is excellent and there are many different themes, mechanics, max wins and paylines to choose from. At the time of my review, there was a hefty section dedicated to new games, so you shouldn’t miss out on fresh releases. The jackpots section is a little slim, though Mega Moolah and Mega Fortune were available.
LuckyMate’s Live Dealer Lobby
It’s good to see 250+ live casino tables available, as often some casinos can overlook this genre. The main types are covered well with 50+ roulette, baccarat and blackjack games. Poker is also available with a range of variants. I got on down with Fortune Roulette, Sic Bo Deluxe and Squeeze Baccarat.
Game Shows You Can Play at LuckyMate
My LuckyMate review revealed 40+ gameshows from Playtech, Ezugi, Evolution and Pragmatic Play. These included DreamCatcher, Money Time and Balloon Race.
Other Types of Games Available at LuckyMate
- RNG tables
- Slingo
- Keno
- Plinko
- Scratchcards
- Crash
Game Providers at LuckyMate
There are 30+ software developers which is a positive amount for a catalogue with 2,000+ games. Here are the providers which have a lion’s share stake in the lobby:
My LuckyMate Mobile Experience
There isn’t an app at the moment but fans of mobile gaming can still get access! This is thanks to the mobile optimisation of the site, you can log on with your chosen browser instead. I used this without any issue, enjoying quick loading and access to the full range of games.
My Rating of LuckyMate’s Games Library & Usability
So far things are looking positive but let’s get down to the nitty-gritty.
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
| Games Library and Navigation | 5/10 | 2,000+ games is a medium-sized collection and whilst the variety and quality are high, the organisation needs to be improved. This should include more effective filtering options such as volatility, RTP and minimum bet. |
| Software Providers and Game Integrity | 4/5 | LuckyMate partners with all the well-known developers as well as smaller studios that offer more unique titles. I’ve removed 1 point as the platform doesn’t currently have any details about 3rd party independent games testing. This would enhance trust and transparency for players. |
| UX/UI Experience | ||
| Site Navigation & Design | 2.5/2.5 | The site has an attractive and rich feel to it, with good organisation and clear menus. |
| Mobile Experience | 2.5/2.5 | The lack of a dedicated app wasn’t an issue for me, and the mobile-optimised site worked effectively. |
| There are many games available, but improved organisation would be beneficial for players |
| Score: 14/20. |
LuckyMate Customer Support
The LuckyMate chat greeted me with a bot that relies on the FAQs. Thankfully, it’s easy to request a real agent who quickly picked up my queries every time. My emails were answered with to-the-point responses. They gave me the chance to reply, instead of opening up a new thread and pushing me to the back of the queue.
| Contact: | Average Answer Time | |
| [email protected] | Within 1 hour | |
| Live chat | 24/7 | Instant |
| LuckyMate | Up to 12 hours |
Languages: English.
Help Centre: Yes – filled with FAQs.
Other resources: The Facebook account is regularly updated, promoting the offers and tournaments on site.
My Rating of LuckyMate’s Customer Support
Here’s where I shell out my scores for registration, ease of contact options and assess those FAQs!
| What I checked | Score | Why this score? |
| Opening an Account | 2/2 | There are just 3 steps to creating your account, with electronic fast age verification checks. |
| Availability & Response Time | 2/2 | There’s 24/7 availability and I enjoyed super quick live chat responses and only waited up to 1 hour for my emails. |
| Contact Options | 1.5/2 | You can reach out for assistance on live chat or email. When I used FB Messenger, I was just asked to log into my LuckyMate account and use the live chat, for security purposes. Which felt a bit pointless. |
| Clear Contact Options | 2/2 | I used the floating yellow chat widget or sent an email with the on-site form, which can be accessed from all areas of the platform. |
| Help Centre & Self-Service Options | 1.5/2 | There are some FAQs but no search filter and some responses are wishy-washy. These should contain clear and concise information, especially regarding payment limits and withdrawal timeframes. |
| It’s almost a full house for LuckyMate, but a little more effort is required in the Help Centre |
| Score: 9/10. |
Popularity & User Testimonials
Surprisingly LuckyMate has already stacked up a chunk of reviews from players in the UK, despite being new. These are predominantly negative though, with users reporting issues with withdrawals and verification. LuckyMate has responded to these concerns but these persistent issues cannot be disregarded and could affect trust from players.
| LuckyMate isn’t doing such a great job with its payouts! |
| Score: 3/10. |
My Final Verdict on LuckyMate
The main appeal for me are the wager-free promos which you can enjoy on a weekly basis. I just wish there was more stuff to claim though! The games collection offers a veritable treat of old faves and newer titles and the live casino is a satisfying size. Withdrawals are processed typically in an instant which could be convenient for some players.
But more responsible gambling account limits are needed, so take this into consideration if you choose to give LuckyMate a go.
