Wild Falls slot review

The nineteenth century Gold Rushes in North America aren’t something we can easily forget about; the discovery of gold from rivers and streams gave people the hope that gold may indeed be accessible to everyone, and that it can change one’s life overnight. For this reason, we can see why Play N Go has decided to release another gold-themed slot – like gold miners, slot players spin in the hope of making a small fortune and love the thrill of a big win! So what can Wild Falls slot offer that other gold-mining themed slots don’t? Read our review of Wild Falls slot to find out ahead of its release on the 24th of January 2019!

Wild Falls slot features

Wild Falls is a 5-reel slot with 20 fixed paylines, set against a waterfall, where symbols drop down onto the reels along with the gushing water. These include the usual A, K Q, J and 10 and higher-value lanterns, shovels, axes, gold pans and bags of coins. The latter is the most lucrative symbol that pays out 125 times the stake for a 5-symbol combo.

On top of the reels, you’ll notice wooden chests floating on the water; these function as both wilds and scatters, and can drop onto reels 2, 3 and 4. During the Gold Rush feature, which may be randomly triggered on any spin, these chests will turn to gold and you’ll get multipliers of 2x, 3x or 5x applied to wins from that spin and the following respins. If you’re lucky enough to land 5x multipliers on the 3 middle reels, you’ll get a 125x multiplier during the base game! Another base game feature which you can expect to trigger quite often is the Rapid Respins – these are triggered when one or two chests drop onto the reels. The wild then remains sticky on the reels while all other symbols will respin. If there are no new wilds during the respin, the wild falls off and the respins come to an end.

Wild Falls slot free spins

Wild Falls comes with two free spin features. The River of Gold Free Spins are triggered when you land 3 chests during the base game – during these spins, chests will stick and move 1 space down with every spin. These free spins will continue until no more chests land on the reels. If you land 3 gold chests during the Gold Rush feature, you’ll get access to the Super River of Gold Free Spins instead – in this case, the chests will remain gold and you’ll get to benefit from 2x, 3x or 5x multipliers, just like during the Gold Rush feature. Just like the River of Gold free spins, this round will continue until all chests disappear from the reels.

Wild Falls slot min/max bets, RTP, volatility and maximum win

Wild Falls can be played by staking from 20p to £100 on each spin. The RTP is set at 96.50% and volatility is high, so keep an eye on that bankroll! You may have to give this slot a good number of spins before you trigger one of the free spins rounds, but luckily, there are great payouts to be had from the base game as well. The maximum you can win while playing Wild Falls may amount to 10,000x the stake thanks to the multipliers, which makes Wild Falls one of the best payout slots released so far this 2019!

Wild Falls slot graphics and sound

Wild Falls comes with cartoonish graphics that may appear simplistic and rather amateurish, but we think that they fit the theme just perfectly, as they give the game a warm nostalgic feel. The Western soundtrack is lively and entertaining, perfect to ward off one’s sluggishness after a hectic day!

Wild Falls slot – our Conclusion

We must say, we really enjoyed playing this new Play N Go release. It’s got a nice mix of features and the potential to pay out well even during the base game features, although we did find that regular base game wins were on the low side. That said, the free spins are really worth playing for and can significantly make up for previous losses. If you like high volatility slots that are not just about the free spins, then do give Wild Falls a try! And, if you’re in love with the gold mining theme, we cannot but recommend Play N Go’s Hugo 2, a highly entertaining game with some awesome features. And now, why not start your own quest for gold?
