SuRie to represent the UK in the Eurovision 2018 with Storm!
Last Wednesday, singer SuRie has won the public and jury's hearts at the Eurovision: You Decide contest, to become the UK's representative in this year's Eurovision Song Contest which shall take place on the 12th of May 2018 in Lisbon.
SuRie (full name Susanna Marie), competed with Asanda, Jaz Ellington, Liam Tamne and Goldstone, amongst other contestants. This Royal Academy of Music graduate is also a songwriter, although her entry Storm was written by Nicole Blair, Gil Lewis and Sean Hargreaves. A total of 26 countries will be competing in this year's 63rd edition of the Eurovision Song Festival in Lisbon, some of which still have to be selected at the semi-finals. As one of the big 5 (France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK), the UK qualifies automatically for the final.
